However, I feel with the increase working population, the demand has increased along with the competition (Gourlay, 2001, pp. 27-46). As per Ahrens (2010) this representation that consumers have more choice and have become much more demanding. Moreover, in countries like India for casing the middle class expands every year by 30-40 million people, which in turn means more people now demand cars in these countries. Today, moreover, the con sumers are being offered car loans on easy instalments, which fare a positive impact on the sales of Toyota. Additionally, explain Berzon and caravanserai (2010), the prices of raw materials and petrol have increased which affects the price and thus the sales of Toyota productions. These economic conditions play an important role in the increase of sales on Toyota. These conditions have of course affected the strategies of Toyota. With the economic crunch especially in the USA, the steadfast was proactive and aimed to increase its sales in developing China and India where the crunch was less prominent. Lastly, Jensen (2010) explains that with the increasing prices of the raw material, the firm resorted to the hybrid variety of cars, which re duced the prices increasing the sales. Thus I feel that Toyota altered its strategies very smartly as per the changing economic conditions with the expiry that even with a global economic crunch, the firm had little effect on its sales (Kane, 2010). Berzon and Khan (2010) explain that the social aspects include the changing trends, the smarter consumer in terms of being more well-educated regarding product information. Sir Richard Branson, Chairman, Virgin Group, Ltd Case Study

Sir Richard Branson, Chairman, gross(a) collection, Ltd - Case Study ExampleIn the production line circles, the talk is there may be non many business sectors, in which Virgin has not made his mark. Conceived in 1970 by Sir Richard Branson, the Virgin Group has gone on to grow successful businesses in sectors ranging from mobile telephony, travel, financial services, leisure, music, holidays and health & wellness. (Virgin, n. d.). Among other factors, this optimum growth is primarily due to the leading of Richard Branson, particularly the combination of transformational as well as accepted style of leadership. Under these style, leaders will provide the employees under them maximum autonomy to plan as well as implement the various organizational processes. (Avolio and Yammarino, 2002). By adopting decentralization structure or redden democratic form of management, these authentic as well as transformational leaders will productively take away employees in all stages of organ izational management, giving them optimum responsibilities. This form of leadership was prominently visible in Branson, when he launched those 400 odd companies. When an idea for a business arises in his mind or comes from others, Branson starts that enterprise by maintaining a controlling interest in it, and then will manage it in the initial phase. After the party starts to function in a steady manner, he will delegate leadership roles to the second rung leaders and will move on. This process of delegation and productively involving the employees was pointed out by Branson himself. He stated, I come up with the original idea, spend the first three months immersed in the business so I know the ins and outs and then give chief executives a stake in the company and ask them to run it as if its their own, (Sukhiy, 2007). This combination of authentic and transformational leadership styles can be competently applied in United States, because with most of the prospective employees co ming out of the current effective academician environment exhibiting entrepreneurial skills as well as willingness to take responsibilities, this style can be aptly applied business leaders in U.S. In addition, as these leadership styles can elevate the indigence levels of the employees and bring out their best, it can be adopted. Thus, if these leadership styles are followed in U.S., organizations there can branch out or expand their operations optimally, as the leaders can initiate new processes and just oversee them, by giving maximum responsibilities to their employees, who will take it to the logical and positive end. 2. Recommending a different leadership style that would make Branson an even more effective leader. Milton Friedman had viewed that good economic theories provide correct and useful predictions while Paul Samuelson had upheld that economic theories must involve operational concepts that be equivalent to their descriptions (Hausman, 1989, p.115). For Hausman, however, these views are mistaken because many of econom ic theorizing have been conceptual explorations and theories do not needfully offer empirical hypotheses.According to Hauman, the four approaches that have dominated the discussion on economic methodology are deductivism, positivism or Popperianism, predictionism, and eclecticism. Hausman (1989) associates deductivism with Johan Stuart Mill, the discussion on positivism or Popperianism with Mark Blaug, predictionism with Milton Friedman, and eclecticism with Donald McCloskey.Deductivism asserts that because so many causal factors can influence economic phenomena, experimentation is generally not possible and demonstration cannot be directly employed (Hausman, 1989, p. 116, 3rd paragraph). The deductivist solution is to derive inductively the psychological or technical laws and and so deduce the economic implications from the laws that were discovered inductively (Hausman, 1989, p. 116, 3rd paragraph). ''Why We Crave Horror Movies'' by Stephen King Essay

Why We Crave Horror Movies by Stephen King - look for ExampleHowever, the guidelines of social morality and socially acceptable behavior, perpetually prevent us from unleashing these urges. Thus, we constantly stress to find, alternative and somewhat more acceptable ways of venting out our feelings of hostility and aggression and in this quest of ours, we are magnetically drawn towards horror movies. Our Id -and the primitive lust for violence cherished by it - as the Freudians would remark, is able to achieve instant gratification through viewing the harrowing gibes depicted on the screen. Thus, it can be asserted that our craving for horror movies is in a way, a manifestation of the anger, defeat and aggression that we experience in relation to the society around us. The following discussion will set to substantiate this point. It is a commonly observed fact that there is a disparity between our state-supported and private selves. This dichotomy leads to a monstrously twofold existence. Our state-supported egotism is governed by inhibitions whereas our private self constantly yearns to sever itself from the restraints of the more socially poised self. As opposed to the seemingly placid public self, the private self craves for anarchy and social rebellion. It is note-worthy that within each of us resides a spy or an imposter- forever struggling to remain hidden from the outside world. While viewing a grotesque scene or a horror movie, this imposter overshadows the much civil public self and assumes a dominant allele role.
